On the popup.lt platform, we view Valentine’s Day in a simple way, without distinguishing the traditional moments of romance between two people or the ideas of celebrating Singles day. We allow ourselves to sound sweet and straightforward – love should be celebrated. Love for yourself, your family, and your partner. Every month. Every day. February 14th is only a great excuse to remember it and celebrate in your preferred way.

We have selected design gift ideas that symbolize love and attention to ourselves and our loved ones. And although there is no set of heart-shaped chocolates among them, and the red accents are barely noticeable, we want to remind you, without any obligation, that every delicate work of local designers can be accompanied by red balloons and decorated with Cupid’s elements, strawberries, champagne or any other attributes from a cliché romantic comedy. And if that’s something you prefer – the more, the better! We’re giving a virtual round of applause to all the romantics out there who are getting ready to buy a double (or triple) amount of red roses this Valentine’s Day!

At the same time, we are convinced and happy that those who look somewhat sarcastically at the expression of romance perceived in the traditional sense will be pampered with flowers or other long-planned purchases, which are relevant not only in February.

With Valentine’s Day approaching, we wish to let ourselves play boldly – pampering ONLY ourselves, unexpectedly surprising our best friend or partner. Valentine’s Day is the best excuse of the year to experiment with your romantic comedy script, curiously watching where it will take you.

P.S. Here are some of the discoveries and joys of the popup.lt team, in the form of music and movies, for those who decided quite unexpectedly to look for romance in February: sweetly clichéd or somewhat sarcastic. We believe that there are no right or wrong answers when it comes to the expression of romance.

  1. Cry Baby, 1990 – Johnny Depp, good girl & bod boy love concept in a 60’s type musical;
  2. INXS, Never Tear Us Apart 1987  – a true romance bomb;
  3. The Royal Tenenbaums, 2001 – a dose of sarcastic looks at romance.
